Denis Matsuev is awarded the prestigious Shostakovich Award

Pianist Denis Matsuev is awarded the prestigious Award of n/a Dmitry Shostakovich. Ceremony of awarding and a concert will take place on April, 1st in the Great Hall of the Moscow conservatory.

The award is founded by Yuri Bashmet's International Charitable Foundation and handed over already 15 years. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the field of arts.

In various time winners became: Valery Gergiev, Gidon Kremer, Thomas Quasthoff, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Viktor Tretyakov, Olga Borodina, Irina Antonova, and Natalya Gutman.
